OK, to boost your glam factor and get hair like one of these gorgeous girls, get hold of a Head Gear Retro dryer, tong or straightener and follow steps 1, 2 and 3.

1. This style's best achieved with hot curling tongs. After shampooing and conditioning as normal, comb mousse through your hair, part it to one side, then blow-dry it straight, using a dryer such as the Headgear Retro Dryer. Use the narrow nozzle on your dryer to keep your hair smooth and fluff-free.

2. When your hair is totally dry, tong it all over using the Headgear Retro Ceramic Tong with spiral guide to help you achieve perfect curls. Place the tongs at the end of a one-inch section of hair, then wrap your hair around the barrel, leaving a couple of inches free at the root area. Hold for a few seconds, then release and repeat all over, twisting some sections clockwise, and some anti-clockwise for a sexy finish.

3. When all your hair's been tonged, run your fingers through to separate and loosen the curls. Then apply a touch of styling cream through the ends to tame frizz and add a sparkly grip for a little extra ‘je ne sais quoi’.

1. Work on unwashed hair as this'll make your updo stay in place all night long. Spritz your hair with a little styling spray then comb it back into a tight ponytail at the back of your head.

2. Separate this ponytail into three sections, as if you're about to plait it. Take one of the sections, roll it into a twist, then pin it to your head around the band.

3. Repeat with the other two sections, twisting them in and around each other and gripping with kirby grips. Fix with hairspray.

1. This is a tricky one to do yourself but by all means, give it a go! Part your hair over to one side, then blow-dry your hair straight, using a large round brush to add volume at the roots and then smooth for a sleek finish using the Headgear Retro Ceramic Straighteners. Section off the fringe area, plus a triangular section from the temples back to your parting, about half way back. You could pin this hair together to keep it separate from the rest.

2. Next, section the rest of your hair into two equal parts. Working on each section at a time, smooth your hair back to the middle of your head and twist it up into a chignon, pinning with kirby grips as you go. Repeat on the other side so both chignons meet in the middle, then fix with a little hairspray.

3. Unpin the rest of your hair, backcomb the crown area, then smooth this back to cover the chignons, pinning any stray sections and using pins for added security. Comb your fringe into shape and re-spray with a good hairspray.

To create a chignon: Straighten hair and part on one side. Pull the hair back into a sleek ponytail at the nape of the neck and secure with a band. Mist with hairspray. Twist hair round forefinger, holding end of ponytail in other hand. Make sure that you take the tail over the twist, not under. Pin the twist in place. Now take the remaining tail and repeat this time curl the tail over your forefinger to form a figure of eight. Again secure with pins.
